Avon Concerts:
On the Boardwalk just about every night at 7:30 July and August featuring Joe Finn (great legendary Irish band) on Wednesdays and a variety of other bands and musicians all week. One block North at the Pavilion.

Manasquan Water Taxi:
Great Restaurant & Bar Hopping 7 Nights a week in the Summer/Weekends until Halloween. Day Trips: Fishing, Sightseeing etc. Halloween Hay rides Sept. to Halloween. 732-292-1159. Boat leaves Bars every hour 6pm to 2am in the summer. Goes hourly from the Wharfside Patio-Union Landing-Clarks Landing-Shrimp Box. Eat drink and have fun!

Fishing:
Party Boats are located in Shark River Inlet- Hwy. 35 Belmar. Golden Eagle- 681-6144 is catching Bluefish- leaves twice a day at 7:30am and 7:30pm. You can also fish off the jetty right at the cove beach in Avon.

Six Flags Great Adventure Amusement Park:
Rt. 537 Jackson- Take 195 west and watch for exit. Theme Park and Safari. 928-1821

Atlantic City:

Picnic at the beach:
Avon is one of the few beaches that allow coolers. The Avon Manor will pack you a picnic basket. Also, along Rt. 35 by the marina in Belmar there are picnic benches and cookers for barbecuing.

The six I recommend…and why:
Cruz farm: A little short and not maintained like a Country Club but…You can always walk on, they usually don’t force you into a foursome, $24/$28 bucks. 938-3378.
Shark River Golf Course- course on 33., Neptune (close, very nice, do a drive by first, tough to get on): 922-4141.
Twin Brook Golf Center-Range- Miniature Golf and a good size Par Three Course Take 33 to Jumping Brook Rd. and you cn not miss it a mile down after you cross Rt. 66 in Neptune: 922-1600.
Pebble Creek Golf Club- Rt. 537 Colts Neck, NJ 07722, 732-303-9090. Off rt. 34 about 20min.

Six Flags Great Adventure Amusement Park/Wildlife Safari The amusement park is packed with everything from breath-stealing roller coasters and cuddly kiddy play facilities to big name entertainment.

The drive-through safari holds some 1,200 animals of sixty different species in a 350-acre preserve.
